Our Story

High-Water Mark Clothing and the Journalist Jacket are the brainchildren of founder Tom Anderson.

Anderson relates that he "started High-WaterMark Clothing out of my pure love and respect for Hunter S. Thompson and his writing. My friends and I had been looking for a jacket that resembled his look and style for years without finding anything and I finally said I'm going to make my own version as a tribute. This was years before crowdfunding started and I found myself talking to manufacturers about needing hundreds of orders just to get started and I didn't have the capital to launch a project like this."

After an amazingly successful Kickstarter campaign, Anderson knew that it was time to take High-Water Mark Clothing online and expand production. You'll find the signature Journalist Jacket on free-thinkers throughout the United States.
